A Reflexology Session

I practice as a mobile therapist in Saffron Walden and the surrounding areas. All treatments are carried out in the comfort of your own home which can be beneficial as you can remain fully relaxed after the treatment without the need to travel home.

How long is the treatment?
A reflexology session will usually last for approximately one hour. However, as reflexology is a holistic therapy treating the whole person, the first session will include a consultation. This will help me to gain a better understanding of you and your health and lifestyle and will help me to form the basis of your treatments. Therefore, please allow one and a half hours for the first treatment.

What happens during the treatment?
The treatment is carried out on a reclining chair with your feet raised where you will be made comfortable and covered with a blanket to keep you nice and warm during the treatment. The only clothing that needs to be removed is your shoes and socks.

During the treatment I will apply a gentle but firm pressure to the reflex points on the feet. This will help me to detect any imbalances and working over these points will help to release any blockages and rebalance the energy pathways. Reflexes out of balance may feel tender or sensitive but this should be short lived.

How will I feel after the treatment?
After treatment, most people report a sense of deep relaxation and well being. However, you may feel lethargic, nauseous or even emotional but this is temporary and part of the healing process.
I will always discuss with you before and after treatments any reactions that you may have had as this will help me to understand how you are responding to the treatments.

How much does a treatment cost?
A reflexology treatment costs £25 within 5 miles of Saffron Walden and £27.50 within 5 - 10 miles of Saffron Walden.
